Why does Angela clean fingerprints off the chair and doorknob?

After her uncle, Dr. Weston, hits Roman over the head with a chair, Angela is concerned that her uncle's involvement in Roman's death will hurt his career. She sends her uncle away and tells him that she will wipe clean the doorknob and chair so that he will not be implicated.
