At lunch Gwen tells Kinsey the name of the lover she had an affair with when she was married to Laurence. She comes clean now because she has learned that the lover has died. Kinsey feels a bit uneasy about this and is evasive when Gwen presses her for details on the case. Kinsey asks her when she last saw Colin Fife. Gwen is puzzled by the question and tells her it would have been when Diane graduated from junior high. Colin would have been fourteen months old.
