the inspiratory area snds sgnls to the primery mscle of inspiration like daiphram in ramp manner i.e starting slowly and then inreasing for 2 sec.and finaly ceases for 3 sec. this alows slowly increasing volume of lungs preventing rapid entry of air in lungs.
