One example of dramatic irony occurs when Forrest goes to Memphis to see Jenny perform. She is working in a strip club, completely naked and playing "Blowin' in the Wind" by Bob Dylan. The room is full of leering, disrespectful men, and yet, Forrest believes her dreams have finally come true.... she is a real folk singer. We as viewers know this isn't true, but Forrest's limitations make him unable to see the truth..... he believes that Jenny has gotten her "big break."
