Why is subtitle " A Story of Wall Street" important in "Bartleby, the Scrivener" by Herman Melville?

In this story, Melville is attacking what he believes is the dehumanizing of workers, which in his mind is directly caused by capitalism.... Wall Street being the mecca of this evil.
