I see no evidence of ketchup being used for medicinal purposes in the 1930s. It was, however, sold as a treatment for digestive problems during the 1830s. The product was marketed as "Mr. Miles" and claimed to be a cure for diarrhea, indigestion, jaundice and rheumatism.
