Each of these stories has a different and important message and moral. The objective of this lesson will be to explore this story and discuss what the message of this story is, how it was presented, and why the author would have chosen to present that message in this story.

Lesson

1) Read aloud with the class the story of "Fool's Paradise" Have the students write their own personal response to this story. How does this make you feel? Which character did you relate to? What does this story make you think of? Call on some students to read their personal response to the class. Discuss some of the different reactions that are all read in response to the same story.
