Learning about Motorcycles
Do one or more of the following:
(1) Ask someone who rides and maintains a motorcycle (or a motorcycle mechanic from a local motorcycle store) to come to class and show the students how to do basic maintenance (or a tune up). Ask him/her to talk about different kinds of motorcycles - brands, sizes, reputations, difficulty of maintaining.
(2) Ask teachers or students in the school who ride motorcycles to show their bikes to the class and talk about their bikes. Make a list of things to compare among the bikes. Have them talk about maintaining their bikes.
(3) Research makes and models of motorcycles. Try to find out what make and model the Narrator had and research it. Try to find out what make and model John Sutherland had and research it.
