Objective

“Woman Hollering Creek” is a short story by Sandra Cisneros. Published in Cisneros’ 1991 anthology, Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories, the story describes the lives of Mexicans who have crossed the border to live on "el otro lado" – the other side – in the American Southwest.
