1960s Newspaper
Have the students research news events and important information that citizens needed to know at the time of the 1960s. Have the students combine their research materials into a small newspaper describing life during the 1960s.
Interview with someone that remembers 1963
Have students interview people from their family that were alive in 1963 and remember how things were. Have the students ask about costs of living, fashion trends, political figures, favorite movies and t.v. shows during that time. Have the students come up with a fun way of presenting the information they discovered from their family members to the class.
