• The narrator is Lily Reeves, a California girl who will be starting the seventh grade in the fall.

• "I can turn invisible," Lily begins Chapter 1. "It's a superpower, or at least a secret power" (1). She clarifies that having this power does not make her a superhero, or even a hero, because heroes "save the day," but she just

disappears (1).
