Lesson 1 (from Part I (Pages 1 - 55))

Objective

The objective of this lesson is for students to compare and contrast the characters Miel and Sam. These two characters' nicknames are Honey and Moon, respectively, and each is a misfit in his or her own way. Sam was the first person to approach Miel when she fell, miraculously, out of the water tower as a young child. As Part I progresses and their relationship takes a romantic turn, their mutual tendency towards secrecy begins to cause tensions.
