Comparative Literature

Give the students an opportunity to compare Erickson's methods to those of another psychotherapist. Students should write a brief research paper describing the differences and similarities to Erickson.

Dr. Phil

How would Dr. Phil feel about Erickson's techniques? Give the class the opportunity to write (online) to the doctor and ask him his reaction to some of Erickson's suggestions.

Blog

Give the students the opportunity to create a blog dedicated to Dr. Erickson. Students can create a "Ask Dr. Erickson" page, etc. n.b. - students must note that this is not a "real" blog.

Act out the Role

Create "scenarios" with the class and allow one student to "play the therapist." Students will have pretend sessions and the therapist should respond as Erickson would.
