Make a 3-D bulletin board display.

On the bulletin board, start with a background of a view from under the sea with coral reefs and giant kelp streaming up toward the surface. Then create colored drawings of the Nautilus, giant sharks, men in diving suits, etc., on poster board. Cut the drawings out and put 1/4" pieces of foam board on the back. Now mount these artistically on the backdrop of the under water scene on the bulletin board.

Have an art contest

On poster board, have the class artists draw and color the way they imagine the lost city of Atlantis looks under water. Put the posters on the wall as classroom decoration.
