Students may create a web page which details the characters of the play. Students may choose images of actors, real people, historical images, etc. Students should ensure the privacy of the web page to prevent copyright infringement over any images.

Students may choose to find music that was popular in Ireland during this time period and bring it to class to share.

Dancing at Lugnhnasa

Brian Friel's most famous work is the play, Dancing at Lughnasa. Students should take an opportunity to watch the film, starring Meryl Streep, and write a comparative essay regarding the theme and setting of the two plays.
