1) Research: Look up the following terms and write definitions: genre, non-fiction, fiction, memoir, journal, autobiography, and biography. Write the answers to these questions: What is the difference between non-fiction and fiction? What is the difference between an autobiography and a biography? Is a memoir a type of autobiography? Why or why not? Why might someone write a journal?

2) Class Discussion: Was the book written about a time that actually occurred in Frank's life? Was Frank writing mostly about himself and his memories or about someone else?
