Guess Who?

Pick a character. On a large sheet of paper, draw the character as they appear in the book. At the bottom of the paper, write three or four hints (traits, quotes, facts) that will help another student identify the character.

Write a Letter

Write a one page letter as if you are Toby. It can be addressed to any character, and can discuss any topic or incident in the book.

Research!

Pick a specific object in the book (i.e., the horse chestnuts). Conduct basic research on the object. Write a one-page report including your findings and a brief discussion of the object's significance in the book.

Choose any character. Pick a specific moment in the book that has a significant impact on this character. Write two or three paragraphs about how you think the character felt in that moment and...
