Arrange a New Yam Feast for the students. Have each student makes a different yam recipe to bring to school and share with the rest of the class or the whole student body. Examples: Candied Yams, Yam and Baked Apple Casserole, Yam Pie, Mashed Yams, or Yam Bread. The list is endless. The students can even invent their own yam recipe.
