Objective
Lucy Score, the author of Things We Never Got Over is a bestselling novelist. She is best known for her novel Things We Never Got Over. This lesson discusses Lucy Score, exploring the other works she has written, as well as her background.

Class Discussion: What can researching Lucy Score's background and her other works tell the reader about the novel? Does Lucy Score always write in the same genre? Can a connection be made between Lucy Score's background and the issues she explores in the novels?
Small Group Activity: Have students get into pairs and prepare a presentation, using their research on Lucy Score and her canon. Have each group read an excerpt from different works written by Score during their presentation. At the end of the presentations, have students compare the tone and style of the novel with Lucy Score's other works.
