• The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels begins with a tongue-in-cheek "Table of Significant Characters." This lists and briefly describes each important character in order of appearance--but several of the listed character names are not really different individuals but rather noms de guerre of a single character (first introduced as Eduardo de Luca), and the list includes multiple entries that are synonymous ("Assorted scoundrels," "unnamed brigands," etc.) as well as an entry for the deceased Prince Albert, whose portrait appears in the story (vii).
