Lesson 1 (from Chapters 1-3)
Objective
The objective of this lesson is to discuss the lives of slaves like Hiram, and what is revealed about the inhumanity of bondage. Hiram is the son of a slave and a wealthy landowner. Though he is the landowner's son, he is a slave because of his mother's race and his skin color.
