• In Chapter 1, Peter is writing a story about what happened when his grandfather came to live with his family.
• He is typing his paper, because Mrs. Klein, his 5th grade teacher, told the class to write about something important.
• Peter’s little sister, Jennifer, comes into the room and asks what he is doing.
• When he tells her that he is writing a story, she tells him to put Pac-Man and Wonder Woman in his story.
• Peter tells her that it is a story about him and Grandpa, so he cannot put television characters in the story.
• He also refuses to put a horse in his story as she requests.
• Jennifer decides that the story should begin with...
