Objective
The objective of this lesson is to examine Hinton's job working in a coal mine, and what is revealed about the effects of coal mining on workers and communities. The town of Praco, where Hinton lived growing up, was a mining town, and the mining company owned everything in the town. Hinton worked in a coal mine for five years.
