Objective

Chapter 1. The primary goal of this book is to give the reader an intimate knowledge of the city of Florence and its art, history, and culture. To that end, one of the key elements of the book is setting. In the first chapter, the author discusses the setting of modern-day Florence, and in later chapters, she will discuss the setting of Florence during medieval times and other eras. The objective of this lesson is to examine the author's portrayal of the setting of modern-day Florence.
