Chapters 1-4

• Moiraine Sedai sends Min to the White Tower to report on the battle of Falme, tell Siuan about Rand's activities and to search for Black Ajah.

• Dain Bornheld of the Whitecloaks invades Two Rivers. Padan Fain accompanies Bornheld under the name of Ordeith.

• Perrin and Mat are both attacked by inanimate objects while inside the Stone of Tear.

• Several of Rand's reflections step out of mirrors and he reabsorbs them taking many wounds in the process.
• Moiraine heals Rand and says she thinks what happened to him was part of the Dark One's power seeping out.

• Mat tries to convince Thom to leave Tear, but Thom is concerned that Rand needs his political astuteness.
