· The narrator lived with his parents and grandmother in a flat.
· His grandmother did not like Tridib, because she thought he was lazy and wasted his time.
· She made sure that there was nothing in their flat that could be used to waste their time.
· Tha’mma worked at her school teaching, the narrator’s mother did her housekeeping, and the narrator’s father worked at his job as a junior executive in a rubber company.
