Objective

Objective: The Endless family is a group of immortal brothers and sisters that reign over all people and activities in the book. Discuss the family, their members, powers and duties as they apply to the stories.

1. Discuss the Endless as they appear in the book. How many siblings are there? What are their names? Write a detailed character description of each to better understand their role in the Sandman series.

2. A popular saying is "Blood is thicker than water." What does the saying mean? How does it relate to family? In small groups, discuss the concept and how it might apply to the Endless. How would you act if a family member was threatened or needed help? Would you do the same for a friend even if you were not involved in the original incident? Explain.
