The students will understand the unique writing style of the author and how it affects readability, the flow of the plot, and the reader.
The writing of this novel is unique in that author does not use quotation marks or chapters. The students will discuss how this affects flow of the story and the ease of reading.

Class Discussion: Have the students discuss the writing style of this novel, based on what they have read so far, using the following questions as a guide: What tense does the writer use? How does this affect the readability of the novel? What is a bit different about this novel? How does this lack of quotation marks and chapters affect the reader?
