Objective
Knowing more about Muriel Spark, the author of "Her Public Image," will enrich our reading, because she is a most interesting and accomplished woman. She has an unusual background and her resume defies any set pattern of work. This might upset a head hunter, but as readers, it will just make us wonder more about the story line and the characters. The objective of this lesson is try to match her background with the characters she creates.
