· She knows that her aunt does not care that her mother is dead.

· Amor packs her things from the hostel where she has been living for the last seven months.

· She tells herself as she packs that her mother is not really dead.

· She has hated living here, but now “she doesn’t want to go” (18).

· Her aunt drives them to her house to pick up Uncle Ockie...
