Plot Map

This book covers many places in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe. Have the students create a map of sorts that follows the progression and travels of the characters.

Dear Abby

Tell the students to write a letter of advice to one of the characters concerning a problem they have in the book. This letter should be similar to the kind of advice column that Dear Abby or Dr. Laura would write.

Pickwickian Society Essays

Have the students choose a random topic and write an essay similar to the ones that appeared in the Pickwickian Post. These topics can be drawn out of a hat or chosen by the students.
