Dating.
Assign one person in the class as Ducane and ask the other students to make up a female character that they think Ducane would consider for a serious relationship. Each student should take it turns to have a two-minute conversation with him. At the end, Ducane needs to decide whom he wants to date.

Give one student an incomplete statement that relates to the book, but is not something that necessary happens in the story. For example, Pierce like eating _______. The student then has to write down his answer. After he has written it down, the teacher gives the same statement to the rest of the class and their aim is to write down what they think the other student has written. Once they have finished the first student has to select five members of the class who he thinks has written the same answer...
