Objective

The objective of this lesson is to examine the immigration of people from the West Indies to Britain in the late 1940s to early 1950s, and what these people experienced in Britain. In 1948, the British Nationality Act was created by parliament. It allowed people in Britain's colonies to be British citizens. Moses, Tolroy, and other characters are immigrants from the West Indies.
