Lesson

1) Class Discussion: What stage of the Prince's life does the story begin? Why is this important? How is he dealing with being middle aged? Does the class think he is prepared to handle the upcoming changes? Why or why not?

2) Writing and Analysis: Have the class take 15 minutes and write down 3 characteristics of the Prince that represent the main theme of inevitable change in the book. Afterward, talk about the answers and which ones might change or stay the same throughout the story.
