Essay Topic 1
On Pages 129 - 130, Jessie contemplates what her "true" earnings are, because she has Megan's earnings as well; they are supposed to donate them to a charity. How does Jessie feel about using Megan's money to win the war? How come it is such a difficult decision for her to make? What does that reveal about Jessie?
Essay Topic 2
Jessie finds signs from Evan's lemonade stand that say he is selling a cup of lemonade for ten cents. She cannot believe this low price and assumes that Evan has not made any money if he is selling it for so cheap. How is Evan still able to make a profit at this price?
