Journals
This book was autobiographical in nature. Have the students keep a journal while reading this book and talk about why it was so important for Randy to keep a record of his life.
Encyclopedia Entry
Have the students choose an area of expertise and write an entry they think would work well in a new edition of the encyclopedia.
Childhood Dreams
Have the students create an illustrated list of some of their most memorable childhood dreams.
Action!
Provide the class with a box of random props and have them act out scenes from the book. Award extra credit points to the team with the most points at the end.
Youtube Lecture Viewing
Randy's lecture is available on YouTube. Display parts of this to the class and have them discuss how seeing the author in person changed their view of him.
