Life Interest Story

Willie wrote many stories based on interesting people in his small town. Find someone that you believe has an interesting story to tell. Write a short piece on that person and lay it out newspaper style. If possible give a picture to go along with it and give it a headline. Read them in class.

Harry Rex's Barbecue

Harry Rex has decided to get out of the law business and begin his own barbecue restaurant where you can get a good hunk of goat anytime. Make an advertisement for his new place of business. Use any medium desired.

Hank Hooten was the Killer

Willie has been to busy to cover this story. Write a front page story about Hank Hooten being the killer and give all the details found in the story. You can even interview some of the local townsfolk for quotes if needed...
