Newspaper Clippings

Find newspaper and magazine clippings on cults and discuss them with your class in terms of the concepts discussed in class.

Role play

Divide the students into groups representing the different cults and let them role play discussions based on the cult they represent.

Find a magazine or news clipping on modern cults and pick out any indications of the common psychological traits that were discussed in class.

Press Conference

Select a student to portray Charles Taze Russell. Allow the other students to join groups representing the press and supporters of Russell. Stage a press conference with Russell and his advisers answering questions about the Miracle Wheat fraud and Russell's travels.
