· Nnu Ego is running away from the British-owned Yaba housing estate in Lagos, Nigeria.
· As Nnu Ego runs her breasts ache with pain from producing milk after having a baby boy four weeks prior.
· Milk trickles out of her breasts and onto her blouse.
· It is early in the morning and some of the few who are out ask Nnu Ego if she is okay, but she never stops.
· When Nnu Ego reaches the Oyingbo market, sellers are beginning to set up their wares.
· Nnu Ego bumps into a blind beggar as he emerges from a seller’s stall to begin his day of begging.
