Objective

Dystopian fiction is the creation of a nightmare world or the opposite of a utopia or ideal world as the setting for the novel. Many novels combine both, often as a metaphor for the different directions humanity can take in its choices, ending up with one of two possible futures. The objective of this lesson is to examine how the writing style of this section reveals the genre of Iron Heel as a dystopian novel.
