Objective
Students will review the five stages of a plot arc and will examine how Estes uses the stage of exposition to draw the readers into the story of The Hundred Dresses and to introduce to the audience hints about its coming themes and messages.
Within the exposition stage of her book entitled The Hundred Dresses, Estes paints a vivid portrait of the class dynamics at play in Room 13 and as a result, the reader emerges with a reasonable understanding of the elements at work against the backdrop of the story’s events.
