As introduction to the study of The Great Divorce, we will begin by examining the author, C. S. Lewis. C. S. Lewis was an Irish-born British novelist, academic, medievalist, literary critic, essayist and theologian. He is perhaps most well-known for his popular children's series, The Chronicles of Narnia, which have been popularized in film. Today's class will examine the author, his life, career, and other works.
