The Journey of the Shackles

The shackles of Muhammad appear a number of times in this book. As a class create a map that shows where the shackles journey, and how their presence manipulates the plot in each of those places.

News Parallels

Have the students bring in an article from the newspaper that has a story that reminds them of something that happens in the book.
