Presentation: Inaugural Poems

Create a presentation in which you offer an overview of poetry read at the inaugurations of American presidents. Do all presidents ask poets to read? Who are the poets who have been selected, and what patterns do you note in their selection? What are some key themes that emerge in the poetry? How has the American public reacted to the various poems and poets? Use text and images to convey your findings to your audience; be sure to cite all sources in a format appropriate to a visual presentation.
