The Scientific Method
Each student uses the scientific method to solve a problem in their life. Ensure that each student takes proper observations and follows the method to test a hypothesis. The solution and problem do not need to be 'scientific' in nature or require the actual use of science. The importance of the exercise is in making and testing a hypothesis in order to come to a conclusion.
Error Bars
Students create a collage with newspaper and magazine clippings containing ideas, concepts, and arguments. Beside each clipping, students create their own error bars that measure the probability of error in each statement or assertion.
