Ten Important Things For...

Students are to bring in a brown paper bag. Each student will select a character from THE DARK IS RISING. They are to illustrate their character on the front of the bag using colored pencils, paints, crayons, markers, etc. You may also have students include textured items to give the illustrations a three-dimensional feel (i.e. feathers, sandpaper, suede, leather). On the back, students are to list ten important items that their character needs throughout the story. They are to also list why these items are important. Inside the bag, the student will place ten items.
