Haiku - The Effects of Racism

Write a haiku that outlines what you believe are the effects of racism on blacks, whites and society as a whole. Make sure your haiku consists of three lines and has a syllabic structure of 5-7-5.

Teacher Jeopardy

Create a Jeopardy board that has three facts found in Chapters 1-5. Each fact is given a Point value (e.g. 1, 2,3). Separate the class into three teams and provide each team with a bell. Once you have completely read the fact, whoever rings their bell first and correctly attributes the fact to the chapter, will get the point value for the questions answered. The team with the most points wins a prize or you can just play the game for fun.
