Science Fiction Story Writing

Write your own pulp science fiction story. You can create your own planet, races, customs, and plot. Make them as outlandish or as Earth-like as you choose.

Masque Poem Writing

Write a short narrative poem from the point of view of one of the novel's characters. This poem can vary in length from five lines to a page, can be written using any verse form (or none at all), and can focus on one event in the character's life or merely be the character reflecting on his or her life as a whole. You can even choose a minor character, like the man who owns the waffle stand at which Laura briefly works, and create a more detailed backstory for that character.
