Students are to develop travel brochures for any or all of the settings described in the novel. How would they choose to advertise the attractions of this city or town?
News Article
Ask students to look in their local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the novel and bring it to class. They will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the novel.

Students are to write a brief obituary for one of the characters in the novel. How would this person’s life be described?
