Objective
The objective of this lesson is to understand a genre to which The Astonishing Color of After belongs—young adult fiction. How and where a novel fits influences how it is understood by its readers, as well as what readers it is likely to reach; readers interested in young adult fiction might pick it up, while those who dislike such works might never read The Astonishing Color of After.
